Axminster
Axminster is set in East Devon close to the border with Dorset. The town made its name as a centre for quality carpet making. Thomas Whitty made the first carpets here in 1755, and Axminster has never looked back! The church of St Mary dates to the Saxon era, and there are some lovely Georgian houses in the town centre. A short distance away is the famed Jurassic Coast of south Dorset. Axminster is a friendly but small market town, it has many family run businesses. There is a bustling market in the town square on Thursdays selling local produce and crafts. A good variety of restaurants, bars, pubs & cafes to suit all tastes and eating requirements. We also have a River Cottage Canteen & Shop in the centre of the town.Axminster. Good car parks and for those going for evening meals at the River Cottage Canteen you can often park for free in the Square.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage HQ (Park Farm) is a base for running courses and events inspired by the original River Cottage. There is the Canteen and local produce store in Axminster which serves meals during the day and evenings. River Cottage HQ at Park Farm on Trinity Hill (2.5miles approx) and River Cottage Canteen in Axminster town centre (2 miles approx)

Lyme Regis
Lyme Regis has a beautiful clean beach, and steeped in history and full of charm, it has a unique captivating vibrant atmosphere.
